504HealthNet presented their annual Champion of Community Healthcare Award to Mayor LaToya Cantrell yesterday at their final board meeting of 2019. This award honors local legislators committed to improving the health of our community.
This year, 504HealthNet recognized the work of the Mayor’s office in supporting 504HealthNet’s mission to improve access to health care and health outcomes in the Greater New Orleans Region. Mayor Cantrell was honored for her commitment and dedication to the health of New Orleans as a strong advocate and supporter, who is always present when we needed. In presenting the award, Tiffany J. Netters, Executive Director of 504HealthNet, described the Mayor’s commitment by stating “she shares her time and energy in supporting the growth and expansion of our clinics across the city and our work to bring healthcare to hospitality workers via our Healthy Hospitality Initiative.”
504HealthNet thanks our board members, as well as the Mayor’s office for their continued work to improve the health of our community.
